Words of thought from our Church Team

Christians are called to be witnesses of Christ. Our lives are to reflect his character. Reminds me of this story: A kindergarten teacher told everyone in her class to draw a picture of what was important to them. In the back of the room, Oscar began to labour over his drawing. Everybody else finished and handed in their picture but he didn’t. He was still drawing. The teacher graciously walked back and put her arm around Oscar’s shoulder and said: ‘Oscar, what are you drawing?’ He didn’t look up, he just kept on working feverishly at his picture. He said, ‘God.’ ‘But Oscar,’ she said gently, ‘no one knows what God looks like.’ He answered, ‘They will when I’m done.’ I love this story! ‘They will when I’m done!’ What is the picture of your life? Does it reflect Jesus? Are his characteristics reflected in your life? Do you – do I care about the things Jesus cares about? What would your neighbour say your life reflected? Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. (Eph.5:1-2)
Can you serve Jesus and still enjoy your life?
Has God got your attention?
