Ups and Downs

Life has its ‘ups’ & ‘downs’! We all know that because we all experience them. Many of you know I’ve just gone through a personal time of physical and health challenges that involved numerous medical appointments and procedures. Thankfully I’m now back at work and coping better. This period has reminded me of our complete dependence on God’s grace. This period also reminded me of knowing what to do with our grievances and challenges when we go through ‘down’ times? Answer: … pour out your hearts to God. (Ps.62:4). I love the honesty of this answer that we read in Scripture! God invites us to pour out our hearts to him when we experience difficult times.

      5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God;

         my hope comes from him.

      6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;

         he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

      7 My salvation and my honor depend on God;

         he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

      8 Trust in him at all times, you people;

         pour out your hearts to him,

         for God is our refuge. (Ps.62:5-8)

Thank you to those who made Connect Sunday the great day it was last Sunday! A great deal of effort is being put into encouraging us all to stay after our services to enjoy community – particularly the first Sunday of the month.

Planning is happening for our community Easter on the Lawn following Easter Sunday AM church. Food. Face-painting. Jumping Castle. Games. And good coffee! Please invite your family and friends to join us for this.
